If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

AiLex is an AI-powered legal assistance platform designed to support legal professionals across multiple practice areas including:

  • Estate Planning & Probate
  • Immigration Law
  • Real Estate (Residential/Landlord-Tenant)
  • Bankruptcy

The Service provides AI-assisted document drafting, legal research, case analysis, and practice management tools. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal judgment and does not constitute legal advice.

3. Professional Responsibility

Attorney Users: You acknowledge that you remain solely responsible for:

  • Compliance with all applicable professional conduct rules
  • Maintaining client confidentiality and attorney-client privilege
  • Supervising and reviewing all AI-generated content
  • Ensuring accuracy and appropriateness of all legal work product
  • Meeting all jurisdictional licensing and practice requirements

Client Users: You understand that the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship with AiLex or its operators. You should consult with a qualified attorney for legal advice specific to your situation.

4. Data Protection and Privacy

Your privacy and data security are paramount. Our data handling practices comply with CCPA and other applicable US privacy laws.

Data Residency: Your data is processed and stored in compliance with regional requirements. US users' data is processed within US regions.

Confidentiality: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect confidential information. However, you remain responsible for determining the appropriateness of using the Service for sensitive client matters.

5. Subscription and Payment

AiLex operates on a subscription basis with multiple plan tiers (Solo, Team, Scale). Pricing varies by region and currency.

Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

Trial Periods: New users may be eligible for trial periods. Trial terms are specified at signup and may vary by region and plan type.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Interfere with the Service's operation or security

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AILEX AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable U.S. state or federal jurisdiction. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through courts of competent jurisdiction or binding arbitration as applicable.
